New features

Tracking has been improved for Google Analytics and Google Tag manager,   you can add event listeners that will be triggered automatically when certain actions are performed inside the widget.

The way you can set room or pitch allocations has been given greater flexibility, you can now set a maximum allocation so that any combination of rooms or pitches can sell up to that total.  This feature is particularly useful if you use different names to describe the same room or pitch or want to limit the daily sales of a special offer.

Increasing use of tablets

2015 has been a busy year for Allocate, we have been rolling out our new widget interface to customers.  The widget gives a responsive design that resizes and can be viewed on tablet and mobile devices as well as desktops and laptops.  Properties can either link to the widget and open the booking on a separate page or can add the widget directly on their website.  Last year around 50% of the traffic hitting Allocate’s booking pages was from tablets and mobiles, so the importance to us to provide an interface suited to the inputs on small touch screens was key.  Sites without a responsive booking system are cutting out lots of potential custom.

Along with the new interface we have also integrated with Stripe.  We have found that customers who opt for Stripe are setup and ready to take payments far more quickly than we’ve previously managed with other payment providers, their security compliance is in our view handled more effectively too.
